Psychiatric care, tailored to your life
Three ways we work with you, on their own or together, in person in Navarre or by secure telehealth anywhere in Florida.
Service 01
Telehealth Psychiatry
Full psychiatric care over secure video: evaluation, diagnosis, prescribing, and follow-up, without the drive. Telehealth is available to anyone physically located in Florida at the time of the appointment (and Iowa, where Faiza is also licensed).
Visits happen through the practice's HIPAA-compliant platform. You'll get a link before your appointment; all you need is a phone, tablet, or laptop with a camera and a private spot to sit.
Telehealth works well for
- Anxiety, depression, and mood concerns
- ADHD evaluation and ongoing management
- Medication follow-ups that don't need an in-person exam
- Anyone juggling work, childcare, or a long commute
- Patients elsewhere in Florida who want this practice specifically
Service 02
Medication Management
Medication can be a real relief, and it works best when you understand what you're taking and why. Every plan starts with a thorough evaluation, then gets adjusted as your life and symptoms change.
What to expect
-
Initial evaluation
A 60-minute conversation about your history, symptoms, goals, and what's already been tried.
-
A plan you agreed to
Options, trade-offs, and side effects laid out plainly, including the option of not starting medication yet.
-
Regular follow-up
20–30 minute check-ins to see what's working, adjust dosing, and catch problems early.
Controlled substances are prescribed according to Florida law and clinical guidelines. Some medications require an in-person visit or additional monitoring.
GeneSight pharmacogenomic testing
If you have been through several medications without a good result, a cheek-swab test called GeneSight can report how your body is likely to process a range of psychiatric medications. It is information about metabolism, not a diagnosis, and it will not name the medication that will work for you. What it can add is a clearer picture of dosing and likely tolerability, which is sometimes enough to change a plan.
It is optional, and most people do not need it. Ask at any visit and we will tell you plainly whether we think it would change anything in your case.
How it works: the cheek swab can be done here in the office, or we can mail a kit to your home with instructions. Either way, the sample goes to the outside laboratory that runs the test. Before you agree to it, we will tell you what it is expected to cost you.
Service 03
Psychotherapy
Talk therapy in a space where you don't have to pretend everything's fine. The approach is trauma-informed and culturally aware, blending practical strategy with the kind of listening that actually changes how a week feels.
Common reasons people come in
- Anxiety that won't turn off: racing thoughts, tension, panic
- Depression, low motivation, and the flat feeling that follows
- Burnout from work, caregiving, or military life
- Postpartum and perinatal adjustment
- Grief, life transitions, and identity shifts
- Trauma and PTSD
- Something you can't quite name yet
Therapy can be combined with medication management, or used on its own, whichever fits where you are right now.
Extended sessions
When 20 minutes isn't enough, 40+ minute extended sessions are available for deeper work or complex visits.
Scheduling
Every visit is by appointment. Booking a telehealth slot means a follow-up costs you the length of the visit, not the visit plus the drive.
Getting started
Your first visit, step by step
-
Send a request
Tell us what you're looking for through the secure request form. We'll follow up to find a time that works. Appointments are booked by our office, not self-scheduled online.
-
Complete your intake
You'll get intake paperwork through SimplePractice before your visit. Filling it out ahead means more of your appointment is spent talking.
-
Your 60-minute evaluation
In person in Navarre or by video. We cover history, symptoms, goals, and what you want to be different.
-
Ongoing care
Follow-ups at the interval that makes sense for you, often every 2–4 weeks at first, then further apart as things stabilize.
